Nothing is impossible to
achieve if you are an achiever. Even the worst situations cannot stop you reach
your destination. If you read newspapers, you must have read several times that
students belonging to poor families get selected for India’s most respected
service, civil services.
You are not very
different from them. You can also fulfill you career aspirations and get
selected for India’s most prestigious job. However, for this, you will have to
put your best efforts. To take part in civil services examination, you must be
a graduate and of 21 years age. You can fill the form until you get 32 if you
are a general category student and you can fill the form till 35 if you are OBC
and try till 40 if you belong to SC/ST category.
If you are not a graduate,
as your financial conditions did not allow you to continue your education after
the intermediate, this is important for you to first enroll yourself for B.A. I
am not asking you to go for regular programs, but to do B.A. distance education.
B.A. is a three years
program. Once you clear it, you will be eligible to take part in exams for
civil services. If you are determined to become a civil servant, you will have
to start your preparation with your B.A. admission. You will have to select the
right subjects that you want to select in the IAS or PCS exams.
